Service charges continue to be a complex area where the risks of non-regulatory compliance is high.  Those organisations which adopt variable service charge regimes are required to comply with the requirements of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 amongst others where gaps in systems and processes can lead to management challenges with residents.  We are very experienced at reviewing service charge setting processes in accordance with the Act as well as reviewing the systems in place, efficiencies and benchmarking having conducted such exercises for a number of clients.
