Case study Void management
During a void management audit we identified and investigated discrepancies in void management performance reporting; the client was reporting average re-let days performance as adverse to target, and the contractor was supplying performance information showing work completion within target timescales. We interrogated the contractor data and identified differences in start dates, the use of ‘holding days’ and completion dates versus the information in the client system. The client is now able to apply contract payment clauses to performance and address underlying performance issues affecting the availability to homes for tenants and the subsequent receipt of rental income.
