Jo Rigby
Human Resource Director
I’m Jo, and I take care of all things people related. From recruitment to exit interviews and everything in between, I’m responsible for ensuring Beevers is number one for talent attraction and retention.
With over 25 years of experience in generalist human resources and training and development, my role is to ensure each member of our team can come to work every day and be their authentic self.
In addition to providing this service to teambeevers, I also provide the same service to our clients in an advisory role.

My story
I honed my craft with one of the largest global companies in the world. Starting on a graduate management development programme where I gained experience in all things business related – operations, finance, and customer service before finding my glass shoe in Human Resources and Training and Development.
I joined the firm 15 years ago as its first dedicated Human Resource professional. My remit was to guide line managers in a range of people issues from organisational change to development and resource planning. I love this strategic side of my role, but what really gets me up in the morning is the true people aspect of my role. I led the firm in achieving accreditation of the Investors in People Standard in 2009, something we have retained ever since and probably one of my proudest moments since joining the firm.
The working environment has changed considerably over the years, and I find it fascinating navigating the generational changes with particular focus on wellbeing and equality and diversity. Being the youngest of six and the only female, I’ve been aware of equality all my life – my poor brothers never received an equal amount of anybody’s attention once I arrived on the scene!
I do this too…
My beautiful home and family are my happy place. I love relaxing with my wonderful wife, pottering in our garden or putting the world to rights over dinner – she’s a fabulous cook! My weekends are spent on adventures, whether that be hunting great white sharks in Amity or searching for Santiago’s hidden treasure all through the enchanting imagination of my adorable grandchildren.
