I’m Richard, one of the Directors within the external audit team. Since joining the firm, I have gained over 20 years’ experience working almost exclusively within the not-for-profit sectors, predominantly working with housing associations and charities.

My story
I act as Responsible Individual or Manager on a portfolio of housing sector and charity clients, including small associations, stock transfers and large complex groups. Some of my clients include Great Places Housing Group, Clwyd Alyn, Salix Homes and Framework Housing.
I am passionate about the sector and have helped deliver Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting seminars as well as contributing to our Annual Review of the Top 100 Housing Association’s social housing publication.
I have received formal BRIXX software training (a forecasting and planning tool) and I am responsible for our business plan validation work. I also manage the Homes England Compliance Audit work within the team. In addition to this, I have a wide knowledge of service charge legislation and experience of providing assurance reports on service charge accounts.
I do this too…
I love being active and keeping fit. I am a member of an Olympic weightlifting club and recently competed in my first British Weightlifting sanctioned event. I also play the cornet and have played in a local brass band.
