Simon Marsh
Senior Manager
I’m Simon and I’m an Internal Audit Manager within the Risk, Assurance and Advisory team, working almost exclusively within social housing. I work closely with my clients to ensure they get the most value out of internal audit, and how we can continue to provide an excellent service.

My story
I’ve have been with the firm for around five years now, starting as a graduate trainee internal auditor and working up to my current position of Internal Audit Manager. I’ve worked exclusively in the not-for-profit sector and manage a wide portfolio of social housing clients from less than 1,000 units to over 30,000 units. As one of our data analytics champions, I’m responsible for assisting with the upskilling of our Risk, Assurance and Advisory team.
I’ve also been involved in External Quality Assessments (EQAs), for clients and the firm. These are external assessments required by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) to demonstrate conformance to the IPPF. I really enjoy working in the social housing sector and am happy to help in any way I can.
I do this too…
I’m a saxophonist in a covers band, Atomic Brass, who perform up and down the country – you can check me out on Spotify! My other interests include football (I’m an avid Wigan Athletic supporter) and hiking in the Lake District when I find the time.
