Suzanne Lomax
Partner
I’m Suzanne and I am one of the Audit Partners, as well as helping look after some of our non-audit clients. I look after a really great portfolio of clients operating both in the SME and not-for-profit sectors. Client service is, and always has been, a priority throughout my career. Many years ago I remember a partner saying to me ‘we have many bosses: each of our clients is our boss’ and I couldn’t sum it up better.
In practical terms, this means being available to discuss any business matters as and when our clients require, along with working with them to ensure compliance with audit and accounting statutory requirements.

My story
I qualified as a chartered accountant with an international audit firm, progressing to manager. I then joined a smaller firm based in Blackburn, with a high-quality client base, many of the client’s being in the manufacturing and engineering sectors and progressed to partner.
In 2009 the firm merged with Beever and Struthers, which was an excellent decision!
I do this too…
Watch football, but after 30 years plus, of being a season ticket holder at Blackburn Rovers, I am now an armchair supporter.
Spend lots of weekends in the Eden Valley in Cumbria, which always includes a walk of some description.
Go to concerts and festivals as often as I can – recently Ed Sheeran, Billy Joel, Eagles, Paul Simon, Culture Club, Rick Astley (how great was he at Glastonbury?), Human League, Lionel Richie, Simply Red, Gabriel and the Lytham Festival to name a few.
